What is DayStone?

• Local-first storage — start writing instantly with no account, and connect your own cloud whenever you like.

Where is my data stored?

DayStone is a local-first app. Everything is stored on your device by default. There is no server account or backend.

• iOS — optional iCloud (CloudKit) backup through your system iCloud account.
• Android & web — optional Google Drive sync.

Cloud sync is always optional, and journaling works whether or not you connect one.
